There is currently over 2 billion hectares of degraded land, causing increases in carbon dioxide in our atmosphere and loss of biodiversity. Ecosystem restoration is core to rebalancing these trends but despite the strong evidence in front of our eyes, the rate of land degradation today is higher than the rate of land restoration.
